Island Fruit Fest displays a representation of fruits on the island of Puerto Rico that enriches its tropical landscape and contributes to health and wellbeing. Starfruits, rose apples, mangoes, passion fruits and coconuts, delightful treats and delicacies during her childhood, represent an array of tropical scenery that inspires her artistic journey. By using different colored-stained glass and natural components, she exposes the vivid colors and textures that comprise this Puerto Rican fest. The vibrant hues of the tropics are complemented by Puerto Rico’s endemic national flower, the Flower of the Maga Tree. It is the artist’s intent to project the delight of these tropical gems to the mosaic art enthusiast.
