I have been inspired by the art and science of Wassily Kandinsky from the moment I discovered him. There’s something about the ordered chaos that fits my mind’s eye. This piece was created using pieces of vitrigraph and fused glass waiting for somewhere to go for at least a dozen years. When the fused triangle fit, I knew the rest would follow! I chose the somewhat randomness of blue smalti to juxtapose the fixed graphic nature of the glass and compliment the orange influence. I hope it has translated into a cohesive abstract piece.
