This piece began with a simple, tender moment—my dog, Sula, asleep, perfectly still, wrapped in a kind of peace that feels both ordinary and sacred. Translating that moment into glass became a way of holding onto something that would otherwise slip by. Glass mirrors the nature of memory itself: delicate, luminous, and shaped by the light we bring to it.
In preserving Sula this way, I’m not just capturing her likeness, but the feeling of being with her—the warmth, the quiet companionship, the subtle magic she carries. This work is an offering, both personal and shared: a way to keep her close while inviting others to reflect on their own fleeting, beautiful moments. It is about love held still, if only for a little while.
