As Deep as the Sea

In this small piece, I tried to bring together both the human mind and the ocean’s ability to move, connect, and unite distant shores and territories.
The ocean belongs to no single nation; it is an international space, and for this reason it is beautiful and just that different worlds and civilizations may flow through it together. Countless travelers have lost their lives at sea in search of a better future. Yet the sea should not be seen as a division, but as a possibility; a force of connection and union.
Only through the vision of the open sea can we trust in the possibility of better lives, exchange goods, create relationships, and build unity rather than separation.
I associate the sea with the human mind because a mind that is isolated and ruled by fear can lead to madness, dissociation, war, and the hunger for power born from deprivation. But if each of us had the chance to imagine and embrace our own vast sea, perhaps the world would be a very different place.
