Midnight Rain explores the atmosphere of garden roses in darkness illuminated by rain, moonlight, and reflection. Raw fragments, sharp edges, broken surfaces, and reflective glass are transformed into a piece that represents the fragility and resilience of motherhood, chronic illness, growth and sensuality. I am interested in the balance between softness and rupture, romance and decay, glamour and shadow.
