My inspiration comes from Greek folk motifs from embroideries, hand-carved furniture, and woven costumes or carpets. I am always intrigued by nature themes or maritime images of the old, traditional Greek navy. My work includes miniature mosaics or larger ones. I also find inspiration in the nature around me, the beautiful seasons of the state of Alabama, and the coastline of this state and of Georgia. Growing up on the coast of Athens, Greece, and traveling in that country and in the US, I came across many traditional motifs and amazing nature corners of the United States.
