I delight in creating stained glass panels that draw the eye along curves, seeking meaning to the whimsical shapes. Through abstract designs, I hint at recognizable form. I wonder if the viewer will ask, “Is that a person?” Will the forms be obvious or will it take a moment to spark familiarity? I love the Aha moment when studying abstract art, when you suddenly can’t “unsee” intentional figures. My father taught me stained glass twenty-five years ago, and after a rewarding career as a veterinarian, I rediscovered my love for glass art. Every aspect of design and construction brings me joy, which I hope is infused in my art. I create from my home studio in Washington, DC where I live with my husband, two boys, rescue dog and rabbits.
