For this 100 Moments project I took a very traditional stained glass approach, drawing first in charcoal, intending to then make a cutline and colour scheme the work in glass as I generally do. But given the time constraints of making something and then sending it to the USA, the design was far too complex. Likewise version #2. Not satisfied, I had an inspiration one morning and let the glass do the talking. The drawing developed as I was selecting and cutting glass. And even after all the glass was cut, painted and fired, the lead work was still morphing. The result is a fresh new work, using some of my favourite colours and interesting textures.
