This mosaic was inspired by my love of Illuminated Manuscripts and their highly decorative, detailed and jewel-like surfaces. Each tile in this mosaic was handmade using polymer clay. I used a variety of tile making techniques including using transfers and gold leaf. The Gothic niche in the center was also hand cast from a mold I made using resin.
