“El pescador” explores the quiet intimacy between human labor and the sea. Through layered glass, reflective surfaces, and found organic elements, the piece evokes a small fishing vessel held in a suspended moment—neither departing nor returning, but existing within the rhythm of waiting.

The use of translucent and mirrored materials suggests water as both surface and depth, while the rope and driftwood introduce tactility and memory—objects shaped by time, use, and tide. The composition centers on balance: fragility and resilience, motion and stillness, control and surrender.

Rather than depicting the fisherman directly, the work allows their presence to be felt through the vessel and tools, inviting the viewer to inhabit that space of anticipation, solitude, and quiet endurance.
