I started this piece in 2022. Unhappy with how she was turning out, I put her aside after only finishing the face, feeling she wasn’t perfect. In 2023, I experienced a life-threatening illness. During my healing process mosaics were my therapy. I rediscovered her as I was struggling to get my mosaic skills back. She’s beautiful in her imperfection and she has reignited my passion for designing stylized women in haute couture.
