I am exploring the possibilities within stained glass as I begin to identify the direction in which I will take my personal work. I look to combine historic glazing techniques and with modern design aesthetics to create work that speaks to me. Currently, I am focused on layering glass with copper foil to establish a foundation for further work using this technique. I particularly enjoy using fluted glass to manipulate refractions, as seen in this piece. It is an exploration of my own personal interests and development of style as a young stained glass artist. I believe that this work is subconsciously in response to the rise of computer technologies (Artificial Intelligence), of which I personally am opposed to, and contrasts heavily with the historic trade and practice of stained glass.
