The human fascination with the moon shapes our history and future. Endlessly drawn to that silver orb for inspiration, I find my own cosmic inclinations reflected in the Artemis II mission. We have always thought of the moon as gray or silver, but recent discoveries reveal that it exists in vivid color. Although humans desire to explore deep space, there is no place like home. The Overview Effect captures that precisely, leaving explorers speechless. Home is that beautiful blue marble, suspended in the void — wholly our own. As astronaut Christina Koch profoundly stated, “Earth, you are a crew.”
