This work is a collaboration between two artists, Melissa Hamming and Gabe Hill. Melissa Hamming owns The Cracked Glass stained glass studio in Dyer, Indiana, where she teaches and does custom work. Gabe Hill is the store manager and main instructor for the beginner stained glass 6-week course offered at the studio.
Their collaboration represents a moment where they stood in the backyard of a client’s home during a custom installation. The backyard was an enchanting place for both. It felt good to stand there together in the sunlight, watching the Koi fish swim in the green moving water, below the bubbles floating on the surface of the pond.
The littlest moments can ripple through our lives and the lives of others, creating many seas of positive growth and magical experiences throughout our world. This piece represents friendship, peace, and the promise of a beautiful partnership between two soul sisters.
